WEIO

So! Today I took my small Japanese tour group (Kumikosan) in to town to see the WEIO (2010 World Eskimo Indian Olympics). Above are my sketches of two of the events, the forehead push and the onehand reach.
Most of the Eskimo games/sports were planned to take place requiring little space (such as the two above) as they were performed/practiced often during the long winter inside the Iglu (house), which was usually small and subsequently, easy to heat.
Ink and watercolor on 5 by 9 inch 140 pound cold pressed.
