飼いならす 雄牛

飼いならす 雄牛, to tame the bull. (best viewed large)
Oh, a few years back, during the 12th century in fact, a guy in China, named Kakuan, drew ten pictures of bulls and wrote a set of comments on them.
So! I did this one.
This is acrylic on acetate, but I painted it so the acetate side, not the side I painted on, would be the viewed side, laying the foreground colors first and the gesso last. Of course everything had to be a mirror image of what you see, including the calligraphy at the top (don't try this at home, kids, it will drive you crazy!).
Why did I paint it so the clear acetate side would be out? Look at how the colors pop!
Acrylic on acetate, 17" X 22"
