rTump seems to *think* that huge tariffs will force manufacturing back on-shore.
A lot of that work is mind-numbing assembly of "widgets" and would need sweatshop conditions to be profitable - and would probably be immigrant labour.
Sadly, it can take years, literally, to build, set up & equip a "new" factory. Longer if there's a complex supply chain involved, plus training etc. Meanwhile, inflation will spiral upwards.
Producing [or recycling] Aluminium is a case in point.
