BBC infographic illustrating the different types of solar eclipse - when the moon passes between the earth and the sun.

I have seen several partial eclipses [the first one when I was at Primary School] and this one in 2025 is the most recent. [2015, 2021, 2024, 2025].
I was fortunate enough to travel into the line of Totality when we were on holiday in France. [11th August 1999]
That was awe-inspiring, it really was. [Pre-digital so prints only, must scan them from the holiday album]{my late father was in Poland[?] for an Esperanto event and also observed totality}.
