A range of everyday sounds and how loud they appear to be. [for the gunshot - a similar sound would be a car or m/bike "back-firing" - a sharp, short & loud burst of sound].
HSE legislation in the UK mandates wearing ear protection at 80 - 85dB in industrial settings.
tbh I usually wear ear defenders when using the vacuum cleaner, especially in a small room !
