CoLC - second homes for sale
A drastic cut in house values in some parts of Wales.
I'm not convinced that it will help local people as wages are generally very low in many areas, so they still can't afford to buy ...

A lot of people with second homes in NW Wales are not happy with this situation - of the people I know in this situation, they've bought a small house as a retreat to which they will retire in a few years, some have bought places to do up as they volunteer locally. And support local shops etc while they stay. {for a weekend trip and arriving late on Friday - I would bring food / milk for Saturday morning and then shop locally for the rest of the weekend food or use takeaway / pub / local cafe}
TBH, I think this will alienate such people as the pure "holiday home" brigade are just turning the home into a business and avoiding the council tax hike that way. Additionally, they or their "customers" will tend to bring all their food etc with them and not visit local eateries etc.
