And if you show that 'phone to most of the modern generation, they would have no idea how to operate it to make a call, although they might manage to pick up on an incoming call.
[Not that it would work, as it will be "pulse-dialling" rather than "tone dialling" and I don't know if that system is still supported - it isn't for the national UK network].
I'm going to see if I can determine a date / model ...
E2A = Some discussions with a 'phone collector suggests that this may be an "Ericisson" [sp?] or a similar non-UK design. Date is probably pre-WW2 [so late 1930s].

Yes, pulse dialling is still supported in England! I still have a rotary dial phone in one bedroom, and it still works!
