UK wholesale gas prices have been steadily rising over the past year, however, that has included some steep increases, with two main peaks; the first from late November 2021 for about a month and the second in early March 2022.
The former was, probably the usual seasonal leap but possibly affected by the posturing by ru55ia that culminated in the invasion of and war in Ukraine from 22nd February 2022. The latter certainly had a massive affect, aspects of which continued to have affects for the rest of 2022, as Germany among others attempted to fill their storage facilities ahead of the winter.
