Bolton hospital(s) daily graph of patients on mechanical ventilation. In this area, the pandemic's second wave was definitely not a smooth curve, but one with multiple peaks, especially the steep climb in November 2021 from the 'Kent' variant. The sharp, sustained and continuing increase in the use of these beds during May 2021 shows clearly. This is from the "hot-spot" cases of the 'Indian' variant. (from the gov't dashboard).
