RER - Synolda 1

Portrait of a venerable locomotive. "Synolda" was built in 1912 by Bassett-Lowke. Usually resides in the museum, but on Tuesdays during July and August 2016 she will be found outside the rebuilt engineers workshop, offering a short run on the long siding. (In the background is one of the "maxi" coaches, dating from the 1990 Gateshead Garden Festival)
