WR(O&A) Tyne - metro


Metro cars trundling over the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge. (Two of the twin-car Metro units form the service, travelling from Gateshead to Newcastle) The bridge was completed in 1981 at a cost of £4.9 million, the metro lines pop out of tunnels on both banks to cross the Tyne.
