Robins are such characters. They can get quite cheeky when looking for food. Last year I had one watching me weeding flower beds, in case I found anything edible - s/he got a few mealworms as an extra reward.

Last winter I had two robins that would come to my hand to feed. I used meal worms to feed them :)
