Snowdonia mountains and Lake Padarn at dawn
I started out at 3-16 am to get to the lake for the sunrise as the bbc reported at 5-25am. I needn't have bothered, the mountains hid the sun for a long time after that. It was very cold and I gave up on waiting for the sunrise here. I just got this photo of the sun on the moutains :)

This is an amazingly gorgeous scene. It's such a shame that you didn't manage to see the sunrise, but I think you've caught a fabulous picture with the rising sun just highlighting the mountains. Well done Steve - it's magical as Nouchetdu38 says
