What is evolution / Darwin and the Voyage of the Beagle

The basic idea of biological evolution is that populations and species of organisms change over time. Nowadays, when we think about evolution, we tend to associate this idea with one person: the British naturalist Charles Darwin.
From 1831 to 1836 he was part of a loyal research expedition aboard the ship HMS Beagle, which made stops in South America, Australia and the southern tip of Africa. At each stop, Darwin had the opportunity to study and catalog the plants and animals of the id quality.
