I went backwards and forwards from London to Southampton once or twice a fortnight for about ten years, but I don't ever remember going up that end of the platform. I guess me and my grandson needed to be at the Waterloo end for a quick exit at the end of the journey. I always like seeing 'foreign' stock on someone else's patch.

You could usually rely on some 'foreign' stuff appearing at Southampton. Apart from Brush Type 4s from far and wide, Hymeks were regular visitors on Bristol/Cardiffs and I've seen Westerns and a couple of Warships there. Happy days!
