thank you raingirl; the way you describe what you see shows that you have a trained eye;
that makes a difference in many situations

"trained eye" - thank you. i find myself being lazy with my posts here on ipernity. i frequently just post what i consider to be snapshots, more in a social media type way. i should be more selective. but i have been a photographer for my whole life (my mother and grandfather were photographers and they taught me) doing darkroom prints since age 8. so i do like to think i have a pretty good understanding of composition etc. i try to promote that knowledge through detailed comments when i have the time - both seeing what others have already done and suggestions for possible alternatives or adjustments.

i grew up on a rollei - square format is my favorite! so your photos frequently please my "trained eye".
