A fun long-form example with a fine engraving of an interesting building, complete with a train, a wonderfully Victorian logo, and fine penmanship.
Antique billhead for O.V. Tracy & Co., dealers in tea, spices and syrups from Syracuse, New York, dated 1894.

Did the wagon in the foreground spill its cargo? And I love the little office in the middle, and it took me a while to figure out the little shading effect that coincides with that staircase going right upstairs. At first I thought it was an attempt to show the brick under a wash of plaster, or something architectural like that!
Antique billhead for D.D. Mallory & Co., packers of oysters and smoked fish from Baltimore and Chicago, dated 1887.
p.s. Too bad about the paste on this one. I'm rather fond of it nevertheless...

What says San Francisco better than Victoriana and tea? Well, a stretch about the tea, I know, but not with regards to Frisco's heritage of a major port city.
Reverse of an otherwise nondescript antique billhead for Siegfried and Brandenstein, tea importers from San Francisco, dated 1889.
