Frank Paul painted a series about life on other planets in our solar system for the back covers of the early Fantastic Adventures issues.

With a dash of loose and fanciful extrapolation, the claim is that the cold and dark world of Pluto will prove inhabited by a race of "winged-bat people with heavy protecting fur" that build observation and support towers with lateral bracing and what not that look remarkably similar to those we evolved to build here on Earth!
