Albion Picture Palace

Albion Picture Palace
The Albion Picture Palace in Castleford opened on 31st January 1927. In 1957 it became the New Star Cinema and later Studio. It closed in 1987 when it was part of the Cannon Cinemas chain, leaving Castleford with no cinema at all until the multiscreen Cineworld opened.

The frontage incorporates plenty of cream faience although for many years this was painted over.

It is now a night club.
