Midday in central China

It was threatening snow and we were waiting for the afternoon passenger service west of Baofeng on the Pingdingshan Coal Railway. That train wasn't due for another hour at least and so we sat out of the wind inside the minibus. Hard to believe that it wasn't long after midday as it was so dark and murky. Suddenly a headlight appeared out of the gloom and it was a mad scramble to get into position for a shot of this JS class hurrying empty coal wagons towards the distant collieries.
