NCB Hic-Bibi

At the nationalisation of the British Coal Industry in 1947 the National Coal Board inherited some of the brickworks associated with the collieries. The Board continued to run many of these works as a means of using unsaleable small coal and spoil materials. This example is from Hic-Bibi, near Coppull in Lancashire.
