Another first

It has been so warm and sunny here that the dragonflies are appearing much earlier than usual. Today I saw my first of the year which was this male Four-spotted Chaser (Libellula quadrimaculata). It took its first flight across the meadow and when it alighted on the grass I was able to shoot this close-up. A happy summer of dragonfly watching awaits. :-)
