Peaceful Plaza
The idea of peace has eluded humanity throughout history.
At least one can sit on one of the benches in this small plaza and contemplate a world without war.

This photo was taken by a Kowa Super 66 medium format film camera and KOWA 1:3.5/55mm lens with a Zenza Bronica 67mm SY48•2C(Y2) filter using Kodak T-MAX 100 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Depends on what we intend as war. If you look closely to nature there is always a fight for survival, kind of war... we, humans, destroyed nature to expand our kind... it is also a form of war, and this last virus trying to eradicate us is also a war...

Benny Bufano was active during the early 1900s through the 1960s, creating modernistic large scale sculptures representing peace. He protested against human warfare, especially against national and religious authorities that were involved. This phallic statue was a message to religious figures who "blessed" these efforts as a mission for God.
