The Journey from Heaven to Hell

The snow capped summit of Telescope Peak 11,043 ft (3,366 m) overlooks the lowest point in Death Valley National Park, Badwater Basin 282 ft (86m) below sea level, a dramatic fall from grace by any standards.

This photo was taken by a Hasselblad 500C medium format film camera with a Carl Zeiss Distagon 1:4 f=50mm lens and Kowa O81-B ø67 filter using Kodak Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
