Empire

Virginia & Truckee Railroad No. 13 Empire
During it's heyday the Empire served as a freight service locomotive on the line from Virginia City to Carson City and Reno. Now it is retired and in the spotlight, surrounded by mirrors for the public to see all of it's glory. Apparently, Number 13 is not that unlucky of a number after all.
This photo was taken by a Zenza Bronica S2 medium format film camera with a NIKKOR-H 1:3.5 f=5cm lens and Zenza Bronica 82mm L-1A filter using Fuji 400-H film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
