Battery O'Rorke


Located within Fort Barry (north of San Francisco) and commissioned December 27, 1904 in honor of Patrick J. O'Rorke, a West Point graduate, who was killed at the battle of Gettysburg Pennsylvania in July 1863.
In service 1904 - 1945.
This tripod assisted exposure was taken with an Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera with a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar/6X7 1:4.5/75mm lens and 82mm R72 IR filter using Rollei IR 400 film, scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
