Sad old Pascha Joe

The 20-year-old rhesus monkey Joe was always the great Pasha on the Monkey Rock in the Dresden Zoo. Gradually, his group was getting smaller. The Zoo was not interested in building up a new group of rhesus monkeys and so at the end he lived alone there for many years. Mostly he had retreated into his cave, but visitors who had patience could see him several times a day sitting lonely and sad on his rock.

Rüsselspringer / Elephant Shrews
Wikipedia about these very nice and small animals: Elephant shrews, or jumping shrews, are small insectivorous mammals native to Africa, belonging to the family Macroscelididae, in the order Macroscelidea, whose traditional common English name comes from a fancied resemblance between their long noses and the trunk of an elephant, and an assumed relationship with the shrews (family Soricidae) in the order Insectivora.
