Deine Worte kann ich nur unterstreichen und Dir beipflichten. Hoffentlich findet sich jemand für den vakanten Posten des Schatzmeisters. Bin erst kurz hier, will mich aber nicht schon wieder nach etwas Neuem umschauen müssen. Also, auch meine Finger sind gekreuzt.

Oh dear, such is the lot of a voluntary organisation like Ipernity. I have belonged to several committees in my now longish life and I know it is always difficult to fill un-paid for jobs no matter how easy they would seem to be. Like many of our members I ache to put my name forward for one of the roles but I hang back in the sure knowledge that I would not do those roles justice because of many personal factors. I fear that most of our members, including you Jaap would have similar thoughts. Like RHH and yourself, I echo the hope for a quick remedy.

PLEASE DON'T PANIC!
I respect your efforts to find someone for the two vacant positions, but there will always be a solution. This message, that Ipernity will stop to exist otherwise with this exact date, is simply too dramatic and most members will feel nothing but naked fear (again). Anyway I wish us all a good solution of this issue and to calm down this panic, it would be very yery nice, laudable and honorable, if the current leader of the gang (Gary Glitter, 1972) would tell us, that he will hold his position(s), UNTIL new volunteers are found, and not only until an exact date. Unfortunately I'm not able to help here personally because of several exclusionary reasons.

It's unfair to suggest that the present members should carry on until someone volunteers they have done their shift, while someone is doing the job people are satisfied regardless. Go to any AGM and ask for someone to join the committee and the floor suddenly becomes very interesting

The headline is well-intentioned, but somewhat misleading. The General Assembly is on March 27, 2022. The 25th of February only came about because the ima team will start preparing all the statutory provisions in due time from that date.

If there aren't any candidates, this is by no means the immediate end of ipernity. In this respect, any panic is misplaced. It is just that the ima team cannot then make a proposal to the General Assembly on 27 March 2022. In this case, the General Assembly, as the highest authority of our association, must find a solution itself.

(The 'leader of the gang' (William Sutherland) will of course retain his mandate as President. But he cannot be treasurer at the same time. This is not permitted by law. Moreover, William can hardly be his own Vice-President.)

Fantastische Skulpturen vor dem Untergang der Sonne, Jaap.

Gewiß, Jaap, es sind viele Rufer - aber wenige Hörer. Solche Positionen lassen sich nun mal nur im Besitz der Gesundheit und mit einem nicht allzu hohen Lebensalter wahrnehmen. Vielleicht ist dies auch ein Zeichen des Alterns unserer Mitglieder.

Das Durchschnittsalter unserer Club-Mitglieder hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren nur wenig verändert. Zwei Drittel der Mitglieder ist jünger als der jetzige Vizepräsident und Schatzmeister. (69 Jahre). Die Hälfte ist jünger als 65 Jahre. Rein altersmäßig kämen mindestens 500 Mitglieder in Betracht.

Estoy con el pensamiento de Erich, en lo que a mí respecta. Hace falta salud, juventud, ilusión y dedicación para reemplazar a los miembros que demanda la junta directiva. Leído el comentario de “ima Team” quedo más tranquilo y espero que algún hombre o alguna mujer, tenga las condiciones, decisión y valentía de salir voluntario. Tendrá nuestro apoyo.

Décidemment nous vivons dans un monde peu stable et il faut croiser les doigts pour beaucoup de choses actuellement. Merci Erich de nous informer . Je n'avais pas compris que la situation d'ipernity était encore critique. Pour beaucoup, nous sommes âgés et ne maitrisons pas trés bien l'informatique.Pour ma part, aprés de longues années je viens de quitter un poste de ce type. (et de maniere bénévole) je ne souhaite pas être volontaire pour autre chose. espérons que celà va se résoudre et qu'il y aura un volontaire. merci à toi Erich d'alerter nos consciences. amicalement.
