Forest beauty

An old supermacro photo, taken on 23 September 2010, at Brown-Lowery Provincial Park (SW of Calgary). Happened to come across this photo when I was backing up a few more files. That was a great year for fungi, also 2009. It seems that since then, we haven't had a really good fungi season, but maybe this year will be better. Though I didn't see a lot of fungi, some of the ones that I did see, were beautiful species. We've still got a few more months to wait for the peak of our fungi season.
