Yellow Heather / Phyllodoce glanduliflora


A macro shot of Yellow Heather flowers (Phyllodoce glanduliflora). It belongs to the Heath family, Ericaceae, and grows in alpine and subalpine meadows. This shrub has evergreen leaves and these beautiful nodding, urn to vase-shaped flowers. Photographed on July 31st on Plateau Mountain, a long way south of Calgary and south of Highway 40.
