Tithorea tarricina chrysallis
These very attractive butterfly chrysallises looked metallic, and they belong to the Tithorea tarricina butterfly. The Enmax Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo now has added butterflies to their display, along with a few racks of various Chrysalisses. It's fascinating to watch as a fresh butterfly emerges.

Yesterday evening, we had a very unpleasant windstorm and snowstorm! We desperately need all the moisture we can get, though, so it was not a bad thing for nature.
