Thrill of the day

We couldn't believe our eyes this afternoon when we came across this Great Gray Owl. Most annoyingly, I wasn't able to get a sharp shot of it for some reason, even though it was perched on a fence post. Also, nearly every time I clicked, the owl would turn its head, resulting in blur, LOL. However, this is still better than any previous distant shot that I've managed to get of a Great Gray Owl, so I shouldn't complain : ) We were out from about 7:30 a.m. till around 4:00 p.m. so I'm now struggling to keep awake!
