Spring colours of the countryside

Four days ago, I took a short drive just outside the city, westwards. This view actually is taken from a gravel backroad just inside city limits, looking out towards the distant Rocky Mountains. I love the colours at this time of year ....Spring, ha! The golden colour of the stubble in the fields is so pretty, even when mixed with snow. We had a few more inches of the white stuff last night and today is one nasty, wet, slushy mess, ha. Not fun, especially for all those who have to walk to the bus or C-train.
