Groundplum

I always have to smile when we come across some seed pods of the groundplum plant. Looks like someone dropped a bunch of grapes that they had bought at the grocery store! This lovely cluster was found when we were botanizing the Purple Spring Sand Dunes area, near Taber, in south eastern Alberta, on 27th June. This is an uncommon plant, native to the prairies of North America.
