Mongoose Lemur

The two Mongoose Lemurs at the Calgary Zoo are almost always high up in "their" tree in the TransAlta Tropical building, but on my last visit, this one came close enough to get a photo. Just love their beautiful eyes and thick fur : ).
"Males have pale faces with red cheeks and red beards. Females have dark faces with white cheeks and white beards!....They have a series of six teeth that stick straight out from their lower jaw. They use these teeth like a comb on their own fur and on the fur of other members of their social group....They live on the northwest coast of Madagascar and the Comoros Islands." From www.brookfieldzoo.org.
