Enjoying the sun

I think this is the adult female Great Horned Owl at Fish Creek Park. She was perched in glaring sun in the grove of trees today. It has been a few months since I have seen either adult or the two young ones. Wildflowers and insects tend to take over my time in the spring and summer months and I just haven't had time to get down to this area more than once or twice, till today. It felt so good to see a familiar face, LOL!
