Schneeglöckchen...
... läuten den Frühling ein (?)
Snowbells - heralding spring? (In German 'einläuten' = literally 'chime in')

Skating in February (1965)
This is just a few meters from our former house in Borgfeld in Bremen. We used to live on the dyke. In winter the meadows were flooded in order to fertilize the ground. Nice for people as you got an almost never-ending skating ground when the water froze. On the small canals you could skate to Holland if you liked. We once skated from this place here to our summer house with all my classmates, c. ten kilometers I guess. Well, times have changed - I haven't seen such large ice/skating areas anymore.
In the front of this picture my sister, cousin and aunt - the two girls trying to keep their balance on their skates. ;)

Winter Ade?
Last week it still looked like this. The end of winter? Today they told us in the newspaper that the first stork has arrived... Hope that he won't suffer a bad surprise!

Funny...
... it was the same strange sky I saw the day before yesterday when I was on the train.
And, well, I love the countryside of Bremen - especially when the meadows are flooded!

Bremen's Countryside
Back home... ;) Well, I used to live in this part of Bremen when I was little. We had a house on the dyke.
