Not a rat but a big mouse: This musquash suddenly appeared close to the bank of the lake. It was pretty quick and suddenly disappeared when it was attacked by a sea swallow. What a peaceful world!

We once had one for a week or so as a holiday guest at our small pond. It looked like a small beaver and had obviously a very good time! :)

Oh yes, it does - thank you, Joan! :) It always comes up with something to surprise me - also today with an amazing sky. The sea swallows look like this:

Ach, ich dachte das wäre ein Stock im Wasser....allerdings die Bugwelle würde dazu nicht passen.....

Das war ein ziemlich schneller Stock! Ich konnte gar nicht so schnell fotografieren, wie der aus dem Bild schwamm!

Das ist mir letztens mit einem Eichhörnchen passiert , das sich an einem Nummernschild aufrichtete und flink die Insekten absammelte.....als ich die Kamera endlich zur Hand hatte, saß es schon unter dem Auto......
