Wild Geese

I had to search for an old photo as I couldn't take a picture of the geese that crossed our neighbour's house this morning. They do this every now and then, sometimes heading to the south ... and then you see them return somewhat later ... heading toward the north ... or west ... or wherever. I often wondered what they do when the leader isn't sure where to go. Today I got the answer. The leader suddenly stopped in midair and tried to stay on the spot while the other geese tried to keep their formation. So there were at least seven geese who tried to not ram their flock members from behind, already very close to each other with whirling wings. Gosh,it was so funny to watch! :D
