He didn't mind at all that I was standing there taking pics of him. Well, I was standing on a bridge and he knew that I most likely wouldn't jump down into the water. Very likely indeed - despite my enthusiasm for photography. ;)

A few yards ahead, round the corner, a green woodpecker fluttered off when he saw me - just a green-yellow blur. I have seen hares - but no deers. Not enough woodland for them to feel comfortable I guess.

Die lassen einen nicht so sehr gern zu nah an sich heran, schnell sind sie mit großem Flügelschlag dann in der Luft!

Was natürlich auch etwas hätte... Ich sehe ihn manchmal abends über die Dächer fliegen, und jedesmal sehe ich ihm fasziniert nach.
