82/366: Beautiful Coccoon

A couple of years ago I was looking at some of our trees and suddenly I noticed this chrysalis! I was excited because I've wanted to take a picture of one of these since I got my new camera! On top of that, it was really pretty and in a place that I would be able to photograph it perfectly. WHAT LUCK!! :D After I took pictures, I carefully removed it from the branch it was hanging from. Cradling it carefully in my hand, I took it inside and put it into a jar, which I then watched with great anticipation every day for the next couple of weeks! Stay tuned for what hatched! :)
