Molly is a Happy Girl!

1 clickable picture above in a note above! :)
Last summer I let Molly come with Moosie, Zoe, and me up to the top of the ridge so she could go on our walk. Unfortunately, it was hot and she was very out of shape, and I realized that I shouldn't take her in the future. She has only 3 legs and though she gets around very well, a strenuous climb up a steep hill was really too much for her. So, every time I went on that walk, I'd tell her I was sorry but she just couldn't go.
A couple of months ago I started going on more walks around the lower forest and letting Molly come along. At first she could only do half of the walk. And then she could do the entire walk (about 1 mile or so). Then she was able to do a walk early in the day and another in the afternoon. I was very happy she was doing so well, and she loved being part of the pack on our walks.
A couple of weeks ago I made the decision, and when I told Moosie and Zoe we were going up to the ridge, I told Molly she was invited to go! :) I was taking my camera with me, so I'd be plugging along and Molly would have time to rest along the way.
When I started to walk towards the trail that went up to the top of the hill, Molly got so happy she could hardly stand it! Up we went, and she was in such good shape that she led the way!! I stopped a couple of times to let her rest, and as we got to the top, she was in front, tail flagged, ears perked and a huge smile on her face! The whole walk she was elated and never showed signs of exhaustion. In fact, she did so well that day that I've taken her with us every time since! :)
It means the world to Molly to be part of the gang. In return, she's bonded more strongly to all of us and she is happier than she's ever been with us. That's our Molly girl!! :D
