Common Ringlet Butterfly on Seablush


Often mistaken as moths because of their non-flashy coloring and flying habits, these pretty little butterflies are very common here in southern Oregon, and can be found all over the Pacific Northwest. They can be very hard to photograph because they often land in the grass, closing their wings and blending in perfectly with the vegetation.
