Stunning Madrone Leaf

Stunning Madrone Leaf
One of the trees that grows on our property are madrones, which are very slow growing, evergreens. I got two surprises from them this year: one surprise was discovering their flowers after living here for over five years. The second was finding out how amazing their leaves can look when they fall from the tree and turn from green to brown. I was walking along our ridgeline when I spotted this leaf in the middle of the trail and stopped in my tracks, exclaiming, "WOW!! LOOK AT THAT!!" This leaf looks like a piece of art!

I've uploaded two other pictures today and I hope you'll visit them too!

Thanks to all of you who have visited and have left comments and favorites! I try to go to all of your pages within a day or two and is a highlight for me to see your beautiful photography! :)

NOTE! I have finally updated my profile and I hope you'll take a look to find out a little more about me and how important all of you are to my experience here on Flickr!
