Nested Star Flower: The 150th Flower of Spring & Summer!

Can you believe it?! 150 different flowers on our property, and only a handful were planted!! What an incredibly diverse variety of flowers! However, the show's not over yet! I did a rough count for the pictures I have left, and it looks like there will be 190 species when I've finished! Granted, I won't actually be finished because when next spring rolls around, I'm sure to find more species to add! :D What a great project it's been!
Nested Star Flower is my name for this lovely, unidentified composite blossom, since I had no idea what it could be after an hour of searching though my books and all over the net. It may be in the wild carrot family, but it's possibly some sort of caraway variety. Whatever it is, it's undeniably beautiful with its bristle-edged leaves and dainty bed of stars, each with tiny yellow stamens for a flash of twinkling color.
