Duck Soup Pond

I kid you not! (See inset.) A small pond off the Pacific Crest Trail near the northern (and vague) end of the Sierra Nevada, in California. The dogs appreciated it!

There may be some, but we saw no anglers! And there is vehicle (4wd) access.

Thanks, everyone! It was a refreshing turnaround stop. Unfortunately, we were in there again last weekend, hiking in on the PCT from the other direction, and the pond has scum on it now. Late summer algal bloom, I guess--we didn't let the dogs get in it this time!
