Probably a western toad, Bufo boreas. In the dogs' water bowl on the back stoop! We see toads intermittently around the back patio, and I have no idea how they find enough damp to survive!

Thank you for posting this photo to the "Reptiles & Amphibians" group. Toads must be pretty tough to survive in Nevada. The toads we have in the southeast make sort of a high-pitched trill.
