Lake Tahoe

Sand Harbor unit of Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park. Looking north along the shore on the Nevada side toward the small town of Incline Village. Note the water clarity! This area is extremely popular in the summertime due to its sandy beaches, and I had to choose my camera angle carefully to get a pic without people! The insert shows a different view.
Lake Tahoe is natural, but its level was raised by a small outlet dam, for water storage, about a century ago. Despite local urban legends, it is _not_ a volcanic crater!
