More big gnarly trees. On an open rocky slope east of Susie Lake, off the Pacific Crest Trail (here coinciding with the Tahoe Rim Trail). Desolation Wilderness, Sierra Nevada, California. The inserts show different views, as well as some other specimens in the vicinity.
