Winter!


That's what the calendar claims, anyway. Washoe Lake State Park, Nevada. Not only is there no snow, at least so far, there's fire danger! The bigger bushes among the dry grass are sagebrush. At least Washoe Lake (barely visible at the right) is still pretty full from last season. Carson City, Nevada, lies in the valley beyond the hills on the skyline. Looking south.
